Scheps 73 models the preamp and EQ of the classic 1073 console, fine-tuned by Grammy-winning mix engineer Andrew Scheps.

High and low shelves, a midrange bell and a high-pass filter deliver exactly the musical moves that have kept the 1073 in demand for over half a century. The modelled Marinair transformers add fat, warm saturation and harmonic distortion. For the first time, Scheps 73 adds the 10 kHz midrange band from the original schematics, which only appeared in the rare 1078. On top of that come independent left/right and mid/side processing plus mono, dual mono and stereo modes.
