CLA MixDown combines Chris Lord-Alge’s favourite mix bus processing – glue compression, console drive and finishing EQ – in one simple plugin.

Grammy winner Chris Lord-Alge, whose mixes can be heard on records by Foo Fighters, Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones and Green Day, has put his two favourite mix bus chains into it. The Glue control chooses between modern, punchy compression (1) and vintage, controlled compression with a longer time constant (2), the Drive control feeds an emulated SSL console mix bus from natural to gritty, and the low shelf and treble bell add weight and sparkle. Use MixDown as a final touch after mixing, or – as Chris Lord-Alge recommends – insert it before you start and mix through it.
