The CLA-76 models “Bluey” and “Blacky”, the two FET compressors from Chris Lord-Alge’s studio – for tight, hard-hitting mixes.

Unlike optical compressors, the FET circuit responds extremely fast and adds tube-like distortion, giving a tight, aggressive and characterful sound. Two hand-picked, perfectly maintained units representing the best of the many revisions were modelled. The ultra-fast attack keeps transients on drums, vocals and guitars under control, the ALL ratio mode delivers explosive compression, and the Mix control makes parallel compression easy.
