BB Tubes from the Magma series delivers analogue tube saturation for vocals, instruments and the mix bus – from a delicate glow to heavy distortion.

This original Waves design models cascading tube stages with transformers: the BEAUTY knob generates even harmonics for roundness, fatness and a big low-mid, while BEAST adds odd harmonics for attitude up to crunch distortion, with an A/B switch offering two tube types. Sensitivity sets how hard the tubes are hit, with gain compensation. Soft clipping lowers transient peaks and raises perceived loudness, and Bass Relief keeps the low end clean.

Features

• BEAUTY for delicate even-harmonic tube saturation
• BEAST for aggressive odd-harmonic distortion
• Two tube types via A/B switch
• Tube soft clipping for more loudness
• Bass Relief excludes the low end from saturation
• Tone section with pre- and post-saturation high shelf
