Developed in close association with Aphex, this model of the legendary Aural Exciter adds air, sheen and presence to tracks and masters.

The Aphex Aural Exciter’s secret is controlled 2nd-harmonic distortion: tracks get brighter without becoming more trebly or needing an EQ. Three modes and the way the effect interacts with the input level give a wide range of musical results from minimal controls. Older recordings regain air and presence, which makes the plugin an essential mastering and remastering tool, and the original unit’s hum and noise can be enabled for full authenticity or bypassed for pristine digital clarity.
