The recreation of the DPR-402 developed with BSS Audio – compressor, limiter and de-esser with the explosive drum sound of the 80s.

The original was widely used in live sound, broadcast and studios, and its explosive compression shaped the sound of 80s drums and drum machines. The plugin offers VCA compression, peak limiting, de-essing, sidechaining and 11 frequency-dependent responses that can be combined or used separately. Additions include stereo, dual mono and mid/side operation, a mix control for parallel compression, an output limiter and a menu in place of the rear-panel jumpers.
