Kramer Master Tape models the rare American quarter-inch tube tape recorder used at Olympic Studios – for tape warmth, saturation and tape delay.

Developed with Eddie Kramer, the plugin models tube distortion and mic preamp saturation separately from tape compression and distortion, so it can also be used purely for tube warmth. The Flux control alters tape saturation, tape compression and harmonics simultaneously, alongside speed, bias, wow, flutter and hiss. The tape delay of up to 500 ms with feedback and lowpass filter is ideal for slapback on vocals and guitar, and together with Kramer HLS Channel and Kramer PIE Compressor it recreates the Olympic Studios signal chain.
