Developed with producer Eddie Kramer, Kramer HLS Channel models the Helios console that shaped recordings by Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and David Bowie.

The Helios console at London’s Olympic Studios was famous for fat bass, sweet saturation and high-end presence, and the model is based on the desk most recently used in the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio. The 3-band EQ offers eight midrange frequencies to boost or cut, bass boosts at 60, 120, 250 and 400 Hz or a 50 Hz cut of 3 to 15 dB, plus an unusually sweet 10 kHz boost of up to 12 dB. The modelled preamps provide variable harmonic distortion, with optional historically accurate noise and 50/60 Hz hum.
