MetaFilter is a creative multimode filter with LFO, step sequencer, envelope follower and sidechain that brings movement to synths, drums, guitars, bass and samples.

The highpass, lowpass, bandpass, notch and comb curves plus a VCA run at either 12 dB/octave (“Obie”) or 24 dB/octave (“Mini”), and the left and right channels can be offset from each other. Cutoff, resonance and delay time can be modulated by an LFO with 5 waveforms, the input envelope, an external sidechain or a sequencer with 1 to 16 steps and swing, positively or inverted and in sync with the tempo. Drive, bitcrushing and a delay with an analog sound option add dirt when you want it, and MIDI Learn lets you play filter frequencies from a keyboard or assign parameters to DJ controllers. Over 90 presets range from subtle animation to wild effects for DJing and sound design.
