UM225 and UM226 convert stereo audio to 5.0 or 5.1 surround simply and effectively – for entire films and TV shows as well as for music.

Eight modes spread various types of programme material intelligently to the front and surround speakers, Ambience controls create smaller or larger surround stages, and Punch controls distribute transients optimally between left/right and centre. UM226 adds a fourth-order low-frequency filter for the LFE channel and LoAir, which adds an octave-lower harmonic for rumble and effects. A display shows the spread of energy in the surround field, while output trims for each speaker group and a global Upmix control help you balance the result.
