Renaissance DeEsser reduces ess sounds precisely and without artefacts on vocals, voiceover, audiobooks and podcasts.

Excessive high frequencies from ess and shh sounds can cause distortion and make equalisation more difficult; unlike de-essers based on analog circuitry, a phase-compensated crossover minimises phase shifts and colouration here. Choose between the precise split mode for focused rejection and the smoother wideband mode, and monitor the sidechain to tune in to the ess frequency exactly. The display shows filter type, range, frequency and real-time de-essing, and beyond vocals it can also trim harshness from amp sims and full mixes.
