Developed in close cooperation with Dorrough Electronics, Dorrough Surround models the physics of the hardware meters for 5.0 and 5.1 with uncanny accuracy.

Surround multiplies the opportunities for stunning sound but also for problems: peaks must not create distortion, average levels must relate correctly to peaks, and every channel should be mixed as intended. The meters respond instantly to peaks while averaging the overall level, both in a single meter. DTS, ITU/SMPTE and Film/Dolby Digital modes make it easy to adhere to film and television standards, and all Dorrough Stereo meters are included as well.

Features

• 5.0 and 5.1 meters, plus all Dorrough Stereo meters
• Average and peak levels in a single meter
• “Overs” LED lights when more than 3 samples exceed 0 dBFS
• Three meter sizes: small, large and extra large
• Left/right, sum/difference and phase correlation modes
• Hold peaks for 3 seconds or indefinitely, or reset them
