Brauer Motion is an auto-panner that takes sounds beyond conventional left/right panning into spherical motion within the mix.

Created with Grammy winner Michael Brauer, known for his use of space on mixes for Coldplay and John Mayer, its effect ranges from a subtle psychoacoustic touch on pads and reverb to extreme roller-coaster movement. Two linkable auto-panners with four panning paths each, five triggering options and sync-to-tempo allow subtle motion or polyrhythmic panning, and the sidechain lets one sound’s position follow another. Move background vocals off-centre to make room for the lead, keep hi-hats and shakers from sounding static, and give pads calm or excitement – 80 presets by Tom Elmhirst, Dave Pensado, Tony Maserati and Michael Brauer show what it can do.
