The V-EQ3 combines the best characteristics of the Neve 1066 and 1073 modules – for the natural, colourful sound of the 70s.

Decades ago, EQ designers working within hardware’s limitations chose a carefully curated set of frequencies, slopes and curves that made it easy to dial in the ideal sound within seconds. The V-EQ3 is true to that ideal, with a detailed midrange, rich bass and bright air; it isn’t a surgical EQ but envelops the sound with colour and sparkle, including the transformer distortion of the originals. Ten musically chosen midrange bell frequencies tolerate high-gain settings, and the 10 and 12 kHz high shelves add air with slightly different characters. Place it on every track with the EQ zeroed and the Analog button on for the wider soundstage and more forward midrange of analog mixing.
