V-EQ4 is modelled on the highly sought-after Neve 1081 console module, combining rich 70s vintage sound with precise control.

Vintage analog EQs were often designed to shape tone, while today’s “surgical” EQs are more about fixing problems, and the Neve 1081 embodies the transition between these two philosophies. Two 10-position midrange controls with Hi-Q buttons, high and low shelving with five corner frequencies each and optional bell response, plus five highpass and five lowpass filters were deliberately chosen for maximum musicality. Transformer and Class AB modelling add a warm, upfront midrange and sparkle, and the Analog button retains this sound even with the EQ bypassed – put a V-EQ4 on every channel to mix with analog console character.
