A virtual grand piano based on a Fazioli F228, sampled with great care at London’s Metropolis Studios.

Crafted from Italian red spruce, the Fazioli is known for its tonal consistency, rich tone, balanced touch, clarity and powerful bass, and the very piano that was sampled was used by Adele on her hit “Hello”. It was recorded with eight top ribbon, condenser and dynamic microphones, including the Neumann U87 and KM84, AKG C451 and Royer R121, and you can blend up to three stereo mic pairs at a time with control over level, phase and delay. A 3-stage EQ, a reverb with ten spaces based on the H-Reverb engine, sampled key-up and pedal sounds, sympathetic string resonance, formant, compression, limiting and an adjustable velocity curve let you shape every detail.
