The physical modelling simulation of an experimental, mechanical aerophone-based instrument that imitates winds, percussion, choirs or strings and creates organic, evolving textures.

ResonHeart works on the principles of fluid dynamics and consists solely of mechanical components such as air pumps, pneumatic valves and resonators, modelled after real, commercially available parts; no electronic components are involved in sound generation. Each voice has its own resonator block of sixteen Helmholtz resonators that can be triggered and tuned individually, allowing ResonHeart to imitate winds, membranes, chromatic percussion, cymbals, choirs or entire string sections as well as unconventional, organic tones. Carefully modelled room acoustics range from small chambers to concert halls and stone-walled cathedrals. All controls are laid out clearly on a single-view panel.
